Inspiration

There are some inspiring things about the structure of Stonehouse and its archictecture.

This picture is a clear example of how space is being unused for anything, however, when you take all the ingredients out of the picture that aren't made of stone, you can see how much of an importance stone is to the atmosphere and environment of Stonehouse. Although the building closest ceiling's are very tall, this means that the windows are more spaced out and bigger than the ones in the building in the background which is twice the size but has smaller windows and they both have different colours, they are flat which gives them a  strong bold look to them and also because its flat anything can be easily added onto it.

Below is a picture of some vertical pillars on the side of a marketing shop, the reason I like the picture is because although the pillars are made from a raw material they still look lose  principle alongside custom made designs, which have been stuck over them.

In my personal opinion I think there is easier more practical ways to paint on stone that would look better.

The last image looks more inspirational than the first picture to me, I think if you really want something to stand out then this is a easy way of doing it, the only problem is that every few years the owner or person will have to paint over it and remove the old paint...unless a special kind of paint is used to stop erosion.
